Rey Summers moved to New York in an attempt to get away from her past and build her dream life, and it worked. She's Head of Digital at Cosmic, owns a townhouse in the West Village, and just found out she'll finally be financially stable. Life should be great. Which it would be if she hadn't, by some reverse miracle, agreed to Stef's cousin moving in with her. Rey doesn't do roommates. In fact, Rey hates nothing more. Except for maybe being vulnerable, or dating, or falling in love.

When she bumps into Nate Walker, love slowly changes into something she no longer hates. And although she keeps reminding herself that people's arms aren't safe, she keeps finding herself in his anyway.
